Can you tell me which version of Leopard, Xchat Aqua you are using? And how did you save the script?

Just right click to the link, and choose Save Target As or Save Page As. The /mactunes switch works well for me here.</description>

looks exactly like the app I was looking for. 
Couldn&#039;t bring ioreg to work for me. 
I am looking for some kind of script which reads out information such as 
fan speed, temperature of things, temperature limits, that kind of stuff.
However, I can&#039;t bring your script to work; some special characters seem to show up which lead to python bailing out. One example:

Do I have to specify some special encoding to make this thing run?
